Earlier, the President of the association, Princess Grace Oguche, said the association commenced it’s activities eight years ago but only flagged off the humanitarian aspect of the programme two years ago with visits to hospitals, orphanage homes and schools.

She explained that the group has been able to provide school fees for no fewer than 42 pupils and university students . Just as another set of 50 pupils were given food flasks amongst others.

Princess Oguche used the forum to advocate for sustained collaboration amongst relevant stakeholders in areas of mutual interest to build a brighter future for the children and generations yet unborn.

The goal she further added was to create a world where everyone has opportunity to thrive.

In her paper presentation, the Public Relations Officer of the association and a reporter with The Graphic, Mrs Aisha Audu, called on parents to inculcate good morales, just as she charged them to make the fear of God a major priority in their lives.

Mrs Audu also emphasised the need for parents, caregivers, and members of society to invest in children by providing them with a solid foundation to grow and thrive.

She noted that building the child is not just about providing basic necessities but also about creating a supportive environment that allows them to develop values, critical thinking skills, and creativity.

The PRO also highlighted the consequences of neglecting helpless children which includes enhancing poverty, inequality, crime, and social unrest.

She used the occasion to call on stakeholders to work together to train and educate children, assist helpless children in need as well as get children off the streets and into safe and nurturing environments.

In her remarks, Vice Chairperson of the Association, Comrade Eleojo Hassan, appreciated the stakeholders for their support and reiterated the importance of building future leaders.
