Deputy Gov praises KOSIEC for peaceful conduct of LG elections

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu, has praised the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission, (KOSIEC), for the successful conduct of the Chairmanship election across the state.

Speaking to the media after casting his vote at polling unit 010 in Egwubi, Ofu local government area, Deputy Governor Joel Salifu highlighted that the election was set to be the most peaceful and credible in the history of the state.

He noted that feedback from party leaders across all 21 local governments had been positive, with reports of openness, simplicity, and transparency in the process.

The Deputy Governor also expressed satisfaction with the high voter turnout at polling stations.

He used the forum to urge voters who have not yet visited their designated polling units to do so promptly and exercise their right to vote for their preferred candidates.

Comrade Salifu expressed confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC) securing victory in the election, citing the satisfaction of the people of the state with the commendable work of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
