NSCDC upgrades Araromi-Isolo Opin Divisional Headquarters to Area Command in Ekiti LG

The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has announced the upgrade of the Araromi-Isolo Opin Divisional Headquarters in Ekiti Local Government Area, to a full-fledged Area Command.

This development was approved by the State Commandant, Dr. Umar JG Mohammed.

Representing the State Commandant, DCC Aiyelabowo Isaac, highlighted that this upgrade is a critical part of the Command’s ongoing efforts to tackle insecurity in Kwara State.

He emphasized that this strategic move aims to strengthen the security framework in Ekiti Local Government Area, enhance operational efficiency, and expand the security coverage of the NSCDC in the region.

DCC Aiyelabowo, also commended the Araromi-Isolo Opin community and other stakeholders, for their unwavering support in creating an environment conducive for the NSCDC, to fulfill its duty of protecting critical national assets and infrastructure.

In his remarks, HRM Oba R.S. Are, the Ilufemiloye I, Asolo of Isolo Opin, expressed deep gratitude to the Commandant for his continuous support.

He praised the corps’ commitment to maintaining law and order and their dedication to ensuring public safety within the community.

The event also saw the commissioning of the NSCDC Epe-Opin Outpost office, which is expected to further enhance security operations and improve the corps’ ability to respond effectively to security needs in the region.
