From David Onuoja, Abuja

Niger Electricity Distribution Limited (NEDL) has announced plans to reconnect the Shiroro-Gwada and Shiroro-Erena feeders following successful stakeholder engagement facilitated by the Deputy Governor of Niger State.

The reconnection, according to a public notice by the company’s management, follows the conclusion of discussions and the development of a strategic framework aimed at improving electricity service delivery and establishing a sustainable payment arrangement going forward.

NEDL appreciated the intervention of the Deputy Governor and commended all stakeholders for their cooperation and constructive engagement towards achieving the resolution of the dispute that led to the disconnection.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to working collaboratively with stakeholders and host communities to promote sustainable electricity services and improve customer experience across its franchise area.
