Working parents and nursing mothers in Lokoja, now have a dependable support system for childcare as MOSI Total Care crèche, a new facility dedicated to children aged three years and below, opens in Lokongoma Phase 2 to provide safe, affordable and motherly care while parents go about their daily work.

The facility officially opened recently at Lokongoma Phase 2, GP 225, Lokoja, Kogi State.

The crèche, owned and directed by Mrs. Aiso Christiana Temitope, opened this week with a simple dedication ceremony attended by parents, caregivers and neighbours, who came to see the child-friendly facility.

Running on the motto “Little Hearts, Big Dreams,” MOSI TOTAL CARE says its aim is to provide a safe, clean, loving and stimulating environment where every child is given total care, protection and early foundation for holistic development.

Speaking at the opening, Director Aiso Christiana Temitope said the vision behind the crèche was born out of the daily struggle of working mothers who need reliable, affordable and Godly care for their babies while they go about their businesses.

“Many parents in Lokoja need a place they can trust. MOSI is that home away from home where every child is nurtured with love, protected with care, and given the best foundation for lifelong learning and good character,” she said.

“We are not just a daycare. We are partners with parents in raising a total child – physically, mentally, socially and emotionally.”

According to its charter, the crèche is built around total care for the child, with strong emphasis on safety, health and hygiene, early learning through play, rhymes, numbers, colours and moral stories, as well as balanced nutrition and the holistic development of every child physically, mentally, socially and emotionally.

It also focuses on instilling good morals, discipline, respect and Godly values from an early age, while providing reliable and affordable support that gives working parents and nursing mothers peace of mind, all delivered by caring, trained and passionate caregivers in a spacious, hazard-free and stimulating learning environment.

The Director disclosed that the centre has been equipped with child-sized furniture, sleeping mats, toys, learning aids, first-aid, and a clean kitchen for preparing children’s meals, with caregivers trained to give motherly attention.

Its Vision is to become a crèche in Lokoja and the state at large known for excellence, safety and total child care, while its Mission is to provide a home away from home for every child.

Parents who have already enrolled described the facility as timely.

“I work at the market and my baby is just 18 months. I have been looking for a clean, safe place close to Phase 2. When I entered MOSI, I saw love. The environment is calm, not noisy,” said Mrs. Zainab Audu, one of the early parents.

With Lokoja growing rapidly as a civil service and business city, early childhood centres like MOSI TOTAL CARE are bridging a critical gap for young families.

Enrollment is currently ongoing at the centre. Interested parents can visit the facility at Lokongoma Phase 2, GP 225, Lokoja, or contact the Director for enquiries.

For little hearts in Lokoja, big dreams now have a safe place to start.
