The remains of former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, have been laid to rest at the Gudu Cemetery in Apo, Abuja.
The burial followed the arrival of his remains from the United Kingdom, where he passed away on Sunday.
Kogi State Governor and Chief Mourner, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, alongside former Governors, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, CON; and Captain Idris Ichalla Wada; family members, government officials, political associates and other dignitaries, were present to pay their final respects to the former governor.

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris served as governor of Kogi State from 2003 to 2012, first taking office in May 2003 and serving a second term after the 2007 election.
He was succeeded by Captain Idris Wada in January 2012.
