TheChairman of Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS), Comrade Sunday Emeje, says the labour force remains the most powerful unarmed army anywhere in the world.
Comrade Emeje made the remark at the ongoing Workplace Security sensitisation at Idah and Ibaji Local Government Areas on Tuesday.
He noted that the labour force as an unarmed army can never be defeated based on its strength of unity, calling on the local government workers to take advantage of the initiative of the Special Adviser by spreading the good news of the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo administration, particularly on workers’ welfare.
The ASUSS Chairman described Comrade Onuh Edoka as one who sees into the future, emphasising that the vision should translate into victory for the Governor and President.

According to him, workers should play essential roles in any election and thanked the Governor for recognising the importance of the workforce as demonstrated through the approval of the programme.
Speaking separately, the Chairman of ASUSS in Idah local government, Comrade Joseph Ocheja and the NUT Chairman in Ibaji, Comrade Iboyi Sunday Philip, both commended the Governor for his exemplary leadership style, counting his achievements for workers and their local governments.
The Union leaders who passed a vote of confidence on the Governor, assured that workers in their areas would work hard to return the Governor and President in 2027.
The Chairman of Idah local government, Honourable Alfa Halilu and representative of Ibaji Chairman, Inekwe Enejo who is the Director of Personnel Management, noted that the sensitisation had eased their campaigns ahead of the coming elections.
They commended the Special Adviser on Labour Matters for his sincerity in service, adding that he has remained credible in all leadership positions, assuring that their people would not do anything different as Governor Ododo remained the best option.
In his speech, the leader of the team, Comrade Onuh Edoka who gave some security tips, said the visit was to offer genuine advice on security, explaining that security was essential, both at the workplace and beyond.
Comrade Edoka particularly told the workers to also take their job security seriously by ensuring the continuity of Governor Ododo and the President, whom he noted, have done a lot to salvage the workforce from poverty.
He, however, assured that some of the demands of the workers were already receiving attention and urged them to prepare for a thank you visit to the Governor.
