From Joseph Adahnu, Yola
The Sa’ire Movement, a prominent socio-political group in Adamawa State, has formally declared support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), governorship candidate, Alhaji Tijjani Galadima, ahead of the 2027 elections.
The endorsement was made in Yola under the patronage of the Movement’s Ambassador, Air Vice Marshal Dahiru Sanda rtd. The event drew APC leaders, stakeholders, and supporters in a strong show of solidarity ahead of the official lifting of the ban on governorship campaigns.
This was disclosed by the Adamawa APC Publicity Secretary, Dr. Dogo Victor, in Yola on Tuesday. He said the declaration signals growing momentum for both Galadima and President Bola Tinubu, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Dignitaries present included the APC Southern Senatorial candidate, Hon. Felix Tangwumi; State Chairman, Hon. Hamza Madagali; State Secretary, Comrade Mustapha Ribadu; State Organizing Secretary, Alhaji Sale Shelleng; Campaign Director-General, Ambassador Kevin Peter; Hon. Hamisu Madugu; and other party stakeholders.
Responding to the endorsement, the APC State Chairman, Hon. Hamza Madagali, reminded members that governorship campaigns have not officially commenced. He urged the Sa’ire Movement to prepare for massive grassroots mobilization once the period begins.
“Yes, we are yet to commence gubernatorial campaigns. When it finally starts, the Sa’ire Movement can properly campaign for their choice. We call on you as field men to be ready to reach every nook and cranny to deliver on your promise today,” he said.
Hon. Madagali also commended the Sa’ire Movement for its consistency in supporting Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, in the past. He expressed confidence that the Movement’s renewed commitment under Air Vice Marshal Sanda rtd would further strengthen the APC ahead of 2027.
Speaking on behalf of the Movement, its Coordinator, Alhaji Aliyu Ganye, said members were proud of their years of support for Governor Fintiri and had no regrets.
He pledged that under the guidance of their Ambassador, the Sa’ire Movement would work tirelessly to deliver an overwhelming APC victory “from top to bottom” in 2027.
“We are ready to mobilize our structure across the state. By the grace of God, victory is certain,” he said.
Dr. Victor added that the endorsement reflects a widening coalition of political and grassroots forces rallying behind Alhaji Tijjani Galadima as Adamawa approaches the 2027 campaign season.
According to him, “The emerging political strength, unity and grassroots strategy of the new APC, will make it increasingly difficult for the opposition to halt its march towards victory in 2027.”
