As the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Adamawa state chapter, has expressed its preparedness to reclaim 2027 Governorship general election, the candidate of the Party, Maurice Vunobolki, has presented his running mate Hon. Abubakar Mahmud Wambai.
While announcing his running mate and the Director General campaign organization, Hon. Hamman Tukur Ribadu in Yola, said the team is the beginning of a renewed political movement, aimed at taking over power in Adamawa State.
Vunobolki accordingly, expressed confidence in the strength of the PDP team, insisting that no other political party in the state has the potential leadership, experience, credibility and grassroot appeal comparable to that of the PDP.
Addressing party members, supporters and stakeholders he challenged co-contestants of other political parties to a public debate on level of commitment and dedication for service delivery to Adamawa citizens.

“I challenge all governorship candidates and their running mates to a public debate, where we can present our vision, achievements, competence and plans for the people of Adamawa State. Let the electorate decide who is best prepared to govern the state.”
The PDP flag bearer noted that democracy should thrives on accountability and issue based campaigns instead of personal attacks. He added that the proposed debate would provide Adamawa residents with an opportunity to assess the capacity, experience and policy direction of each candidate.
Vunolki noted that, his running mate, Hon. Abubakar Mahmud Wambai, is a distinguished statesman, respected traditional title holder, seasoned administrator, accomplished educationist and former federal lawmaker whose wealth of experience would complement his administration. He also described his Campaign Director-General, Adamu Hammantukur Ribadu, as a man with vast experience in governance and political strategy, expressing confidence that the campaign structure would mobilise support across the 21 local government areas of the state.
The hopeful governor maintained that the PDP’s leadership team combines experience, pedigree, educational qualifications, grassroots mobilisation and national exposure, qualities that can’t be ignore by the electorates. Vunolboki declared that PDP is determine to reclaim ‘Dougirei House’ in 2027, with optimism that the party’s programmes and leadership credentials would earn the confidence of peoples vote.
Party supporters described the team as a significant impact to the PDP’s preparations for the 2027 governorship election, with confidence that the constituted team would deliver Adamawa chances in the fourth coming general elections.
