All Progressives Congress (APC), members of the Kogi State House of Assembly, led by the Speaker, Hon.Aliyu Umar Yusuf, have reaffirmed their unwavering support for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, commending his administration’s commitment to tackling insecurity across the state.

The lawmakers gave the assurance during a solidarity visit to the Governor at the Government House in Lokoja, where they expressed confidence in his leadership and the various security measures being implemented to safeguard lives and property.

Speaking on behalf of the Assembly, Speaker Aliyu Umar Yusuf, praised Governor Ododo’s proactive approach to addressing security challenges, noting that the administration’s sustained collaboration with security agencies has continued to strengthen peace and stability in the state.

He stated that the House of Assembly remains fully committed to supporting policies and legislative actions aimed at enhancing security, promoting development, and improving the welfare of the people of Kogi State.

The Speaker also pledged the lawmakers loyalty to the Governor, assuring him of the Assembly’s continued cooperation in advancing the state’s development agenda.

In his response, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, expressed appreciation to the lawmakers for the visit and their vote of confidence in his administration.

He described the solidarity shown by the Assembly as a demonstration of unity and shared commitment to the progress of Kogi State.

The Governor reiterated that security remains a top priority of his administration and pledged to continue working closely with security agencies, traditional rulers, and community stakeholders to sustain peace across the state.

He urged the lawmakers to remain steadfast in supporting programmes and policies that promote good governance, assuring them that his administration would not relent in its efforts to ensure the safety and prosperity of all Kogi residents.

The visit displayed a renewed assurance of cooperation between the executive and legislative arms of government in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
