The Movement for Peaceful and Equitable Governance in Nigeria (MOPEGON), has honoured the Chairman of the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) and National Chairman of the Forum of State Independent Electoral Commissions of Nigeria (FOSIECON), Hon. Mamman Eri, with a ‘Pinnacle Award of Excellence’.

According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of KOSIEC, Modupe Adegboro, the honour was in recognition of his examplary leadership style and achievements in fostering good governance in the country.
The award was presented when a delegation from MOPEGON, led by its Director General, Counsel Bello Omeiza, paid a working visit to the Commission.

Presenting the award, the MOPEGON Director General commended Hon. Eri for his outstanding leadership at KOSIEC and his role as National Chairman of FOSIECON, noting his sustained contributions to strengthening democratic governance and electoral administration in Nigeria.
In his response, Hon. Eri expressed deep appreciation for the honour, describing it as encouraging to continue working diligently in the discharge of his constitutional responsibilities. He reaffirmed the commitment of KOSIEC and FOSIECON to promoting credible, free and fair elections.
The visit ended with a renewed pledge of collaboration between MOPEGON and KOSIEC in advancing peaceful and equitable governance in Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
