Adamawa State Government, has completed plans to upgrade Fufore Cottage Hospital, to a full fledged General Hospital to provide quality healthcare services to residents in the area.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, made the plan known as he commissioned the hospital over the weekend.
At the commissioning, the Governor was accompanied by his Deputy, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, Senator representing Adamawa Central, Aminu Abbas, and other distinguished guests.
Addressing the crowed at the occasion, Governor Fintiri expressed satisfaction on the quality of the facility and described it as part of the state government’s ongoing commitment to improving healthcare delivery.
He reiterated that prioritizing tertiary and primary healthcare facilities remains a central focus of his administration.
“The hospital will soon be upgraded to a General Hospital, enabling it to provide secondary healthcare services to residents of Fufore Local Government Area and the communities bordering Cameroon Republic”, he said.
Meanwhile, the governor took an inspection of the facility, touring the hospital under the guidance of the Principal Medical Officer, Dr. Dibal Denis.
While in area, the Governor paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Fufore, Sani Ahmadu Ribadu, who commended the Governor for the developmental strides made in the state, particularly in the Fufore Local Government Council.
