The statement noted the attacks on Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State on Tuesday night. Governor Yahaya described the attacks as “unacceptable and a direct threat to national security,” extending condolences to the victims’ families and the governments and people of the affected states.

He urged security agencies to “intensify intelligence gathering, strengthen surveillance, and conduct coordinated operations to apprehend the perpetrators and their sponsors,” stressing that “protecting lives and property is a core responsibility of government.”

The NSGF chairman also praised the governors of Kwara, Katsina, and Benue for their prompt response and support for affected communities. He reaffirmed the Forum’s commitment to working with the federal government, security agencies, traditional leaders, and local communities to tackle insecurity through both immediate security measures and long-term socio-economic interventions.

Governor Yahaya further called on citizens to assist security agencies by providing timely information and cooperating with efforts to restore peace.
