Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has received a hopeful governorship aspirant who declared his interest to contest come 2027 election.

Engineer Diaulhaq Abubakar, declaring his intention to contest Adamawa guber election at the Party secretariat in Yola, said there is no alternative to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at the federal level ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Receiving and addressing the stakholders in the state, the party chairman, Barrister Idris Shuaibu, made the assertion while addressing journalists on the sidelines of a ceremony held at the party Secretariat in Yola.

Shuaibu expressed confidence that the APC would retain power at the centre, describing President Tinubu as a tested and result-oriented leader whose achievements speak for themselves.

According to the state Chairman, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has done so much and has clearly shown that he is the best option for Nigeria “.

Giving recorded initiatives of the Tinubu administration, including the student loan scheme, the creation of the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development, and efforts aimed at curbing insecurity across the country, as clear evidence of purposeful leadership.

He reiterated that,  the president’s experience, reforms and policy direction leave Nigerians with no reason to look elsewhere in deciding who should lead the country in 2027.

On the Adamawa governorship race, Shuaibu described Engr. Abubakar as a welcome addition, noting that the party remains open and inclusive.

“He is a young, industrious and philanthropic individual. His entry into the race under our party is a positive development, and he is a deserving aspirant in the contest for the 2027 governorship election”.

Speaking during the media briefing while formally declaring his ambition, Engr. Diaulhaq Abubakar, said his decision to contest was driven by a desire to promote equitable and people-oriented governance in Adamawa State.

The aspirant pledged to focus on boosting the state’s internally generated revenue to fund critical infrastructure projects, expand skills acquisition programmes for youths and women, and ensure that development reach all segments of the population.

The declaration ceremony attracted party officials, supporters and many others, as the aspirant fielded questions from the press at the APC State Secretariat in Yola.
