Hon. Ozigi empowers constituents with ₦25 million startup support

National Assembly Member representing Okene/Ogori-Magogo Federal Constituency, Hon. Ozigi Tijani, has demonstrated his unwavering commitment to grassroots development by empowering 500 constituents across the constituency.

The empowerment programme, which followed a comprehensive workshop training and sensitization session, targeted women and youths, equipping them with practical knowledge and skills for economic self-reliance.

At the end of the programme, beneficiaries were supported with a total sum of ₦25 million, as startup capital to help them establish or expand their respective ventures.

Hon. Tijani who was represented at the event by his SLA, Hon. Nuhu, while addressing beneficiaries, recalled a statement he made during the Christmas palliative distribution, where he assured constituents that they should expect more developmental interventions from his boss.

According to him, the empowerment programme serves as clear evidence that the earlier assurance was not mere political rhetoric, but a deliberate plan by Hon. Ozigi to uplift his people economically.

He further assured the gathering that more empowerment programmes would continue to come to the constituency, urging those who did not benefit from the current exercise not to be discouraged, as they would be captured in subsequent programmes.

Nuhu emphasised that Hon. Ozigi,  remains fully committed to protecting the interests of his constituents and staying true to the mandate entrusted to him at the National Assembly.

In their response, the beneficiaries collectively reaffirmed their support for the lawmaker, stating that he has not failed them since assuming office. They noted that Hon. Ozigi has consistently delivered on his promises, often coming through for them when least expected. They praised his responsiveness and dedication, stressing that their voices are always heard when it matters most.

The beneficiaries further commended him for continually bringing the dividends of democracy to the grassroots, describing the empowerment initiative as another testament to his people-centered leadership and commitment to sustainable development in Okene/Ogori-Magogo Federal Constituency.
