Chief James Ogwu Onoja, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has shown remarkable kindness by organising free transport for Ofante people in Abuja to travel home for Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The gesture which involves chartering vehicles to transport people to and fro Ofante from December 23, 2025, to January 2, 2026, picked interested traveller’s at Bar & Bench House, Plot 598 Ogwu James Onoja Crescent, beside Family Worship Center, Wuse, Abuja.
This act of kindness reflects Chief Onoja’s commitment to the welfare of his people, demonstrated through various philanthropic initiatives, including; building schools, providing scholarships, and paying WAEC/JAMB fees for students, funding road construction and maintenance, donating electricity transformers, distributing food, clothing, and financial aid to widows, the elderly, and churches amongst others.
He has received recognition for his humanitarian efforts, including the “Most Outstanding Philanthropist” award in Kogi State (2019, 2022) and Ambassador of Family Values.
Chief Onoja, is a legal practitioner and notary public with the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He authored several publications on legal and social subjects in Nigeria, including The Supreme Court Rules: Practice and Procedure and The Court of Appeal Rules: Practice and Procedure, both published in 2010; the Federal High Court Rules: Practice and Procedure, volumes 1 and 2, published in 2012; and Fundamental Rights (Enforcement Procedure) Rules, 2009 published in 2021.
