Local Govt. Chairman cautions  Traditional Rulers on land allocation to strangers

Towards checking the activities of strangers in communities, the chairman of OKehi Local Government Area, Hon Amoka Eneji, has cautioned traditional rulers in OKehi against wrongful allocation of land to strangers and people with unverifiable records.

The chairman caution recently while speaking during the coronation of the newly installed Omava of Ava clan of Omavi in Eika district of OKehi LGA.

While congratulating the newly installed Omava of Avan, H.R.H, Chief Siyaka Lawal, on his coronation as the traditional head of Ava clan, the council chairman charged him to use his new position to promote unity, peace and tranquility in his community.

He seized the opportunity to re-affirm the commitment of his administration towards ensuring prudent management of available resources.

Speaking shortly after his coronation, the Omava of Ava, thanked the people of Ava clan for the confidence reposed in him and promised to use his new position to promote peace and unity of the community and OKehi local government in general.

The newly installed traditional ruler also called for the support of his people.
