Aerobic exercise for Kogi civil servants, others holds October 25

Kogi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, in collaboration with the office the of Kogi State Head of Civil Service, has fixed Saturday October 25 , for the second edition of it’s Aerobic exercise.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Itodo Yusuf, and made available to the media by the Information Officer of the Ministry, James Sani.

According to the statement, the initiative is part of government’s efforts at promoting health and wellness among the people.

Just as it said the exercise session is designed to foster a healthy, motivated, and high-performing workforce capable of driving it’s development agenda.

To this end, the Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Hon. Aridaojo Anyebe, has called on workers in the state to come out in their numbers and participate actively in the planned keep-fit exercise event.

The statement further added that all civil servant’s, Ministries Departments and Agencies are expected to be part of the event.

In addition , all political appointees are also encouraged to be part of the health and wellness event fixed for 7:00 am on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

While urging residents of Lokoja to embrace the culture of aerobic exercising to promote effective human performance, it further explained that “the body needs easy flow of nutrients around the entire body system including the brain. This will be achieved through short exercises called aerobics” .

It then called on the general public to make it a habit to be regularly involved in small and light aerobic exercises for just 30 minutes to promote physical and mental wellness while at the same time promoting a healthy lifestyle.
