A stunning miracle has left the congregation of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Otite, in Okene LGA of Kogi State, in awe.
On Sunday, October 5th, 2025, a woman who had been bedridden for three years due to a mysterious illness, was brought to the altar for healing during Holy Mass.
Mrs. Catherine Salami had been struggling with a condition that left her unable to walk or care for herself. Despite seeking medical attention, her condition continued to deteriorate. However, after receiving Holy Communion and prayers from Reverend Father Peter Adinoyi, the parish priest, she suddenly stood up and walked without assistance.
The congregation erupted in tears and applause as Mrs. Catherine Salami walked around the church, praising God and thanking the Blessed Mother Mary for her intercession.
“I was paralyzed and in pain for three years,” she said in an emotional testimony. “But today, Jesus healed me through the intercessions of Mother Mary. I am forever grateful to God and the Catholic Church,” she exclaimed
Rev. Father Peter Adinoyi said, “This miracle is a testament to the power of faith and prayer. We thank God for his love and mercy towards us.”
Mr. Emmanuel, a parishioner, added, “this miracle is a reminder that God is still in the business of healing and saving souls. We are grateful for this blessing and will continue to pray for more miracles.”
The choir, led by Dr. Lawrence Ojapa, the choir matron, sang beautiful worship songs, praising and worshipping God’s name. As the church continues to celebrate this remarkable event, many are praying for continued blessings and miracles through the intercessions of the Blessed Mother.
