The Ohi of Okengwe, HRH, Alhaji Abdul Kareem Atta Yusuf, has expressed profound gratitude to Kogi State Government for appointing him the state Amirul Hajj for this year holy pilgrimage to Mecca.
This appreciation is contained in a statement issued during the week in Okengwe by the traditional ruler.
The Ohi of Okengwe, while thanking Allah, attributed his appointment to the grace and mercy of Allah.
In the statement, the Ohi who described the present administration in the state as visionary and focused, thanked the governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for finding him worthy of the noble responsibility by his approval of his appointment as the state Amirul Hajj.
The royal father also seized the opportunity to appreciate the chairman of the state Hajj Commission, Sheikh Musa Lukeman, other stakeholders and constituted authorities for their roles in his appointment.
The royal father then promised to work diligently and in close collaboration with all constituted authorities, in order to ensure a smooth, orderly and successful Hajj exercise, that is in accordance with Islamic principles and government guidelines.
He then prayed Allah to continue to protect Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
